REMINDER – Lake Conroe Association 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM)
AGM Date and Time – 9AM Friday, January 17, 2024
To: All Lake Conroe Association Voting Members and Prospective Voting Members
Subject: Annual General Meeting, Election of LCA Board Members, and multi topic Town Hall
Location: Conroe / Lake Conroe Chamber Office, 505 West Davis Street, Conroe Texas 77301
Start Time – 9:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2025
It is my pleasure to invite any area resident along with our voting members to the 2025 Lake Conroe Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the LCA 2025 Town Hall. At the AGM meeting, the LCA activities of the past year will be discussed along with the 2025 annual budget, summary of donations, and a discussion of the plans and priorities for 2025.
We are still waiting on notice for a second meeting with the San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) and the City of Houston to further discuss the results of the 2024 Active Storm Management (ASM) protocol and agree on an extension of a 2025 ASM and several significant SJRA/CoH recommended changes.
We hoped to have a draft ASM agreement by now but considering the long delay the LCA needs to publicly discuss the concerning changes regarding the 2025 ASM. We want your feedback.
The LCA has a long history of taking the lead in successful actions to protect Lake Conroe. This would not be possible without our all-volunteer Board and your donations. The LCA is a 501(c)(3) charitable entity and your donations should be deductible from federal taxes.
Please donate to help maintain our reserve funds so that we can continue our long history of stepping in immediately when a major development threatens Lake Conroe. Please use https://lcatx.org/ .
Any donation amount is appreciated but especially from those that choose to become Voting members by giving a contribution of $100 or more annually. Any Lake Conroe Association voting member who has not mailed in their ballot by now should bring their ballot to vote in person and cast their vote for LCA Board members.
Kevin Lacy – President LCA
